1. General Conditions of sales (Texte d’application de la loi du 13 juillet 1992 - De la vente de voyages ou de séjours) 2. Special Conditions of sale Booking Booking one of the holidays shown on this site implies acceptance of the general conditions of sale governing relations between travel agents and their customers. It also implies acceptance of the special conditions below. All bookings must be accompanied by payment of a deposit representing 30% of the total amount of the holiday. Receipt of this deposit implies acceptance of the booking only in so far as places are available. If the booking is accepted, the balance of the price of the holiday must reach us no later than 30 days before departure, with no reminder from us. If we have not received the balance of the holiday 30 days before departure Longitude 7 reserves the right to cancel the booking without paying compensation. If the booking is made less than 30 days before departure the total price of the holiday must be paid at the time of booking. For any booking made less than 15 days before departure a single payment by bank card will be accepted. If you have not received your travel documents five days before departure, it is your responsibility to let us know so we can send them again so they reach you in time. Cancellation If you have to cancel your holiday for any reason the money you have paid will be returned to you subject to the following deductions: If the cancellation is: more than 30 days before departure: administration fees of 20 Euros per person will be charged.
between 30 and 21 days before departure: a charge of 25% of the price of the holiday will be made.
between 20 and 8 days before departure: a charge of 50% of the price of the holiday will be made.
between 7 and 2 days before departure: a charge of 75% of the price of the holiday will be made.
less than 2 days before departure: a charge of 100% of the price of the holiday will be made. You must inform us of your decision to cancel by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, and it is the date of receipt of this letter that will determine the date of your cancellation. Cancellation charges will be repaid to you by the cancellation insurance if you have signed up for it and in certain circumstances (namely illness, accident, death etc). After 30 days before departure, the cost of the insurance is payable and cannot be made the subject of any repayment. The insurance only comes into force after 30 days before departure and if the balance of the cost of your holiday has been paid. This implies that the lump sum cancellation charge in the event of a cancellation more than 30 days from departure is not covered by the insurance. In particular instances, Longitude 7 may be forced to cancel a departure if the number of participants who have booked the holiday is below the minimum number of participants indicated on the page on which the details of this holiday are shown. You will be informed of this decision no later than 21 days before the start date of the holiday. Special conditions may also force Longitude 7 to cancel a departure in the event of a fortuitous event, industrial events, strikes, bad weather, safety of participants. In these circumstances, participants will be fully reimbursed for the money they have paid with no entitlement, however, to claim any compensation. Changes to the contract Any change of holiday made by the customer more than 30 days before departure will lead to payment of a lump sum of 50 Euros per person. If the change is made less than 30 days before departure, it is deemed similar to a cancellation and will give rise to the application of the penalties provided for in the event of cancellation. In all cases, the customer will inform us of these changes in writing. A change to parts of the contract by Longitude 7 may take place, if events beyond our control make it necessary. We will inform our customers of this change as soon as possible. If the customer transfers the contract to a third party less than 7 days before departure, change and cancellation conditions apply. If circumstances require it, especially where safety of the group is concerned, due to climate or unforeseen events, Longitude 7 reserves the right to substitute an activity, means of transport, accommodation or itinerary for another, without participants being able to claim any compensation. Considering the particular nature of our holidays, while taking part in activities, each participant must comply with the advice and instructions given by the leader or guide.
