Your physical preparation must be appropriate for the level of sporting difficulty of the holiday chosen. For a holiday of an average sporting level (level 3) or higher, if you do not participate in a regular sporting activity throughout the year, you should ideally start getting into good physical condition at least two months before your departure. Walking or cycling for half an hour per day, climbing the stairs rather than taking the lift, going for a two hour walk or swimming several lengths at weekends before your departure will enable you to approach your sporting holiday under optimum conditions.
