Equipment

For the best possible approach to your holiday under optimum conditions, we recommend that you have the following equipment:
Comfortable clothes, suited to the season and activities you are taking part in
Comfortable waterproof shoes, suitable for the activities you are taking part in: flexible soles for gentle walks, rigid soles for mountain walks, soles with a tread for mountain biking etc.
A small backpack for carrying your equipment for the day and your personal possessions (hat, sun glasses, camera, binoculars etc.)
 A water bottle
In season, a pair of plastic sandals would be useful so you can easily bathe and refresh yourselves in the creeks and pools of clear water.

The following equipment is included in the price of your holiday and will be supplied by us:
Sports equipment: bicycle or mountain bike, wet suit for white-water sports and canyoning, climbing equipment etc.
Sleeping equipment for over night stays in shelters or bivouacs: tent, sleeping bag, torch etc.
 Picnic equipment (crockery etc.)

Physical fitness

Depending on the holiday you have chosen, we recommend you prepare yourself so you are fit on the day of departure. Your physical preparation must be appropriate for the level of sporting difficulty of the holiday chosen.

For a holiday of an average sporting level (level 3) or higher, if you do not participate in a regular sporting activity throughout the year, you should ideally start getting into good physical condition at least two months before your departure.

Walking or cycling for half an hour per day, climbing the stairs rather than taking the lift, going for a two hour walk or swimming several lengths at weekends before your departure will enable you to approach your sporting holiday under optimum conditions.

Transport and formalities

Longitude 7's services start on the first day of your arrival at the meeting place, at the end of the morning around 11.00, and finish on the last day at the end of the afternoon around 17.00, unless the documentation sent to you before your departure indicates something else.

If you travel by plane you will arrive at Nice or Marseille depending on the holiday chosen. These two regional capitals are both connected to a large number of major French and international cities by scheduled and low cost airlines. If you arrive by train or car, all the details you need to reach our meeting point will be sent to you in the travel file that you will receive two weeks before the start of the holiday.

We recommend that you book your transport to our meeting point with your usual travel agent or transport provider of your choice. If you have to take travel to our meeting point by train or plane, we recommend that you wait until the holiday is confirmed (that is 3 weeks before departure) before buying your ticket, if you cannot exchange it or get your money back.

If you need a passport or visa to travel in France we ask you to contact the French embassy or consulate in your country of residence a reasonable period of time before your departure date, to undertake the necessary formalities.
